The Colorado Chamber of Commerce held their annual luncheon with hundreds of business and community leaders from around the state.

Christian Care Ministry CEO, Scott Reddig attended and had the opportunity to speak with other local business and non-profit leaders.  “With 250 employees in Colorado Springs who are involved in their communities through volunteering and partnering with other organizations, it is important to us as a ministry to be an active chamber member,” said Scott Reddig. “Many of our Medi-Share members are small business owners who care about access to affordable health care options like health care sharing.”

Particularly noteworthy, Scott met with the Health Care Sharing Ministry (HCSM) Bill Sponsor, Rep. Mark Baisley and a few other legislators before the luncheon. The Project K.E.E.P prayer initiative was a topic of conversation, and legislators learned how Medi-Share members and staff pray for them and their families and staff leading up the election.

During the luncheon, the Colorado Chamber hosted a bipartisan political discussion featuring Colorado’s legislative leadership from both the State House and State Senate. The panelists included: The Honorable Stephen Fenberg, Senate President (D-SD 18); The Honorable Alec Garnett, House Speaker (D-HD 2); The Honorable Hugh McKean, Minority Leader (R-HD 51); The Honorable Paul Lundeen, Minority Whip (R-SD 9). Their Keynote Speaker was Neil Bradley, Executive Vice President, Chief Policy Officer and Head of Strategic Advocacy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

“The legislative panel discussion was informative and allowed for various viewpoints to be shared on what current and future challenges Colorado’s business community will be facing after the election,” said Scott Reddig. “We look forward to continue working with the Colorado Chamber of Commerce, and with almost 30 years of experience in the health care sharing space, we are here to lend our unique health care perspective to the discussions.”

According to their site, “The mission of the Colorado Chamber is to champion a healthy business climate. The Colorado Chamber is the only business association that works to improve the business climate for all sizes of business from a statewide, multi-industry perspective.”
