Welcoming Ian Day, M.D. as the Chief Medical Officer, VP of Medical Affairs adds medical expertise to the executive leadership team, providing Medi-Share members with a knowledgeable advocate in this space.
MELBOURNE, Fl. — July 30, 2024— Christian Care Ministry/Medi-Share, the administrator of the nationally recognized health care sharing program, is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Ian Day as Chief Medical Officer, effective July 22, 2024. With more than 25 years of experience, he will lead Medi-Share’s clinical initiatives and ensure compassionate, comprehensive care for its members.

In his new role, Dr. Day will work in close collaboration with Medi-Share’s clinical teams and executive leadership to enhance clinical initiatives, innovate service delivery, and uphold Medi-Share’s commitment to its members to provide compassionate and comprehensive care. Another distinctive of Medi-Share’s model which Dr. Day will continue to improve upon is the efficient facilitation of the healthcare payment sharing program.

Dr. Day joins Christian Care Ministry with an impressive track record of 25 years in the medical field, holding several key leadership roles, including interim Vice President of Medical Affairs at Palm Bay Hospital, and Medical Director of the Utilization Review & Case Management Department at Bert Fish Medical Center (now Advent Health) in New Smyrna Beach. His medical experience spans across medical fields. He has served as a Medical Director of Skilled Nursing Facility/post-acute care facility, a hospice company, a Home Health Care company, an inpatient substance abuse program, and a hospital program.
Dr. Day has a proven track record of building relationships with physicians and providers and has a focus on process improvement and team leadership. A Brevard County resident, he serves as an elder at Christ Lutheran Church in Cape Canaveral.
