MELBOURNE, Fl. — 2023, Christian Care Ministry– The nation’s leading health care
sharing ministry joined the National Association of Christian Lawmakers and Florida
legislative leaders in Tallahassee, FL for prayer and fellowship during a special Legislative
Prayer Breakfast.
The prayer meeting was led by FL Senate President Pro Tempore Senator Dennis Baxley
(R-Ocala, FL) and Former State Senator Jason Rapert (R-AK), President/Founder of The
National Association of Christian Lawmakers (NACL).
In attendance were current and newly elected Florida Legislators who came together to
encourage one another and pray for their communities and Florida’s families. Senator
Rapert shared about NACL and their nationwide support of lawmakers from federal to
state levels.
“The Bible says in Matthew 18:20, “for where two or three gather in my name, there I am
with them.” This was certainly the case when Sen. Dennis Baxley of Florida hosted a
recent prayer breakfast for state legislators in Tallahassee. It was my honor to attend and
speak about the importance of Christians serving in elected office and the power of prayer
to make a difference in our nation. Special thanks to Christian Care Ministry for sponsoring
the event and making prayer for public officials a priority.” – Former State Senator Jason
Rapert, founder and president of NACL.
Christian Care Ministry executives highlighted how important prayer is for its Medi-Share
members who appreciate the prayer and encouragement of CCM staff and their fellow
members as they walk through a medical journey. Every day, Christian Care Ministry staff offers thousands of prayers for its members, prospective members, and providers.
Through the Project KEEP program, Christian Care Ministry and members can also pray
for government officials.
Project KEEP (Keeping Elected Officials Encouraged Through Prayer) was established in
2021 by Christian Care Ministry. It encourages members to pray for elected officials
through a nationwide prayer calendar. Through Project KEEP, more than 1900 elected
officials across 42 states have been prayed for since the first calendar was published. All
are welcome to sign up to receive the prayer calendar and join in praying for those who
serve in public office.
“After launching our member-driven prayer initiative over a year ago, it was a tremendous
blessing to be able to join with elected leaders in-person to celebrate the wonderful things
the Lord has done and the wisdom provided through faithful prayer.” –Evelio Silvera, VP of
Communications and Government Affairs; Christian Care Ministry
