Christian Care Ministry/ Medi-Share, has donated almost 9,000 volunteer hours in their local communities since July of 2019. CCM is committed to promoting volunteerism by allotting each employee up to 24 hours a year of paid release time to volunteer. Sharing is the heart of Medi-Share, where members share each other’s medical expenses.
Christian Care Ministry/ Medi-Share’s Acts2Speak Toastmaster’s club was awarded the Toastmaster’s International Corporate Award for enhancing employee engagement. Toastmasters International is a worldwide nonprofit educational organization that empowers individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. Christian Care Ministry/ Medi-Share offers Toastmasters as a benefit of employment and as a way to promote professional development. District 84 is made up of over 100 clubs. Only two were given this distinction.
Congressman Doug Lamborn made a visit to Medi-Share’s Colorado Springs location to receive an update on the current state of health care sharing ministries throughout the United States. Medi-Share, America’s leading healthcare sharing ministry, was thrilled to provide Congressmen Lamborn and his staff with insights into the work being done to support over 400,000 members and process $1 billion dollars in medical bills and discounts, last year alone, across the country. The congressman and his team toured the facility and met ministry leaders, including CEO Scott Reddig, VP of Communications and Government Affairs Evelio Silvera, and Director of Process Improvement David O’Riordan. The congressman was joined by his Senior Advisor, Jeff Anderson and District Director, Norm Steen.
Christian Care Ministry's mission is to connect people to a Christ-centered community wellness experience based on faith, prayer, and personal responsibility. Through the Medi-Share program, Christians are able to share each other's everyday burdens, much like the early church did in the book of Acts.
