Christian Care Ministry/Medi-Share, the nation’s most trusted health care sharing ministry promoted engagement among employees by bringing Chapel to the beach for its second year.
MELBOURNE, Fla. — On April 18, 2023, Christian Care Ministry (CCM) employees and special guests gathered at Alan Shepard Park in Cocoa Beach, Florida, for the ministry's second annual Chapel on the Beach. Roughly 250 CCM employees were able to participate in this special event, which brought together remote and flexible employees for a time of fellowship, worship, and inspiration.
As a ministry, Christian Care Ministry holds chapel services every Wednesday, attended either onsite or online, as an opportunity for employees to come together for worship and wisdom. The Chapel on the Beach was a unique and enjoyable opportunity to get out of the office, made complete with breakfast provided at the beach, worship led by Sorensen, and a powerful message delivered by Steve Noblett of Christian Community Health Fellowship (CCHF) — a Christian Care Ministry National Outreach Partner.
CCHF is a community of Christian healthcare professionals committed to living out the gospel through healthcare among the poor, and is aligned with Christian Care Ministry's mission of connecting people to a Christ-centered community wellness experience based on faith, prayer, and personal responsibility. The message about the importance of prayer was timely and resonated with the attendees. In addition, the participants had the added perk of witnessing the SpaceX rocket launch that morning, thanks to the Chapel's location on the Space Coast. The day was made even more special with two beach baptisms, symbolizing the transformative power of faith in action.
“What an incredible time of fellowship we shared at our second annual Chapel on the Beach service,” said Brandon Harvath, CEO of Christian Care Ministry. “It was a beautiful day for food, worship, and a timely message about the importance of prayer and aligning our ideas of vocation with ministry. At Christian Care Ministry, we are committed to our vision of transforming society through the biblical model of sharing, and what better way to do that than to spend time together sharing moments of worship, prayer and teaching from God’s Word. This is what makes CCM such a ‘Great Place to Work’!” – Brandon Harvath, Christian Care Ministry, CEO
Christian Care Ministry has been designated a Great Place to Work for three years in a row and has recently received the Best Christian Workplaces designation, recognizing its commitment to providing a supportive and fulfilling work environment for its employees. In addition to providing offsite opportunities for fellowship, employees get three days of “Mission” PTO each year to use for volunteering in their local community.
